The 40mm case boasts the Rolex Calibre 3230 Automatic movement which has a 70-hour power reserve, screw down crown and is water resistant up to 100m / 330ft.

This version of the Air-King is unlike any other reference in the model’s line. The 126900 is topped with a sportier dial that features 5-minute hour markers in lume, white gold Arabic markers, and the Rolex logo and seconds hand in green. This new reference released in 2022 has several subtle differences with respect to the previous 116900. This new dial consists of a ’05’ instead of just ‘5’ at the 5-minute marker (or 1 o’clock position). Just like the other Rolex sport models, Rolex has implemented crown guards surrounding the screw down crown. The dial features a style that is very similar to the cockpit instruments created by Rolex for the Bloodhound Super Sonic Car that broke the land speed record a few years ago. The dial alone makes this Rolex an interesting conversation starter. Among its other modern upgrades are a later 40mm Oyster case crafted from Oystersteel and a calibre 3230 perpetual movement, complete with a Parachrom hairspring and an anti-magnetic shield around the movement itself, boasting a 70 hour power reserve.
